Youth & Children Ministry

The purpose of the youth and children's ministry here at Oak View is to invest in today's youth for tomorrow's church. We exist to show the love of God in fun practical ways.
We would love to have you come and fellowship with us.

The Choir

The purpose of our choir ministry (and all creative ministries) is to help create an atmosphere of true worship, and to help lead others before the throne. We are a group of flawed, imperfect people, who love to praise the Lord. We like to sing, and feel called to try and use our voices to help lead others into His presence. We are a completely volunteer group,
who practice once a week, usually for about 45 minutes.
We believe in prayer, and it is a part of every rehearsal.
Baptist Men

The purpose of our Baptist Men's Ministry is to help others through physical and practical needs to experience the love of Christ. Recently, we have built handicapped ramps, trimmed bushes and removed yard debris from around homes of people in need. We also support our home and foreign missions through our Cooperative Program. Every year at Thanksgiving, we assist our Women On Mission with feeding several families in need. We meet the first Sunday of most months at 7:30 am for breakfast, fellowship and planning.
We invite you to come and join us as we fellowship and strive to serve God.

Young at Heart

We desire to create a bond and friendship among our older adults. At our meetings, we have a time of devotion, recognize those with birthdays, make sure everyone is okay, and have some form of entertainment and a meal. We also plan day trips around the area. In the past we have taken day trips to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, tasted fresh made apple cider in Bat Cave, Christmas town U.S.A., and the Billy Graham Library to name a few.
Come join us as we worship and play together.
Women on Mission

We promote local, regional, national and international mission projects, some determined by denomination leaders and others determined by WOM members or other church members.
WOM members set the money goals for various offerings. We meet monthly except for December to study a Bible passage and discuss how to respond to needs of church members, local and regional organizations such as Kings Mountain Crisis Ministry and the Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association Food Bank,
and national and international missionaries.
